The Tentative Schedule

Sunday, July 7th – Friday, July 12th, 2019

Each morning you’ll enjoy a delicious plant-based farm to table breakfast in the light-filled dining room in the Historic Mulburn Inn served 7 AM-8:30 AM. We then go to the "all green" Balance, our retreat center, between 9 AM to 10 AM all in the community of your fellow writers. We’ll then enjoy an optional yoga class or writing time.

During 11-1 PM, we will dive into our class material to learn how to write, publish and present our books. I’ll lead and inspire you through prompts and exercises to help you get clear on your book and move you forward step-by-step. You will create an inspired but realistic blueprint that will work to get your book written, polished, published, and presented that will be supported, sustainable and exciting long after the retreat ends.

Jessy and I will also have individual meetings with each of you over the course of our four days.

A luscious plant-based lunch will follow and is included each day.

After lunch, we will either dive into more class material and write, continue to write or enjoy an outdoor excursion and write au plein air until 5 PM.

After dinner, (on your own-go to the Cold Mountain Cafe or venture out), we will regroup to write/share or go on an inspirational adventure around 8 PM.

Some special highlights planned:

Sunday evening 6-9 PM, we will enjoy a welcome and included farm to table dinner, opening ceremony to celebrate the inception of our retreat and begin to get to connect, inspire and support each other.

On Tuesday, for our afternoon outdoor excursion, we will write on the lawn of the herbal garden at Sugar Hill Botanical. There we will be inspired by the White Mountain vistas and meet Holly Hayward, a fifth-generation local, acclaimed herbalist and all around warm, wise woman. She will greet us with a warm smile, an inspirational talk and cup of tea.

Thursday evening we have been invited to the Robert Frost Museum on Thursday evening to participate in the International Poetry Conference. We will be inspired by readings by poets from around the world and a special reading of a Robert Frost poem in the Museum's candlelit barn.

On Friday, our last day together, in addition to breakfast together, I’ll leave each of you knowing how to finish your book, stay motivated and take home the support and energy of the group to sustain you into book launch and beyond. We will end at noon.
